Masfout, situated in the Emirate of Ajman, holds a rich cultural heritage with stunning natural landscapes in the Hajar Mountains. Renowned for its traditional practices. Emirates Nature - WWF and the Emirates Council for Rural Development, as well as the local communities, invite you to join us in this unique initiative! Our goal is to engage in a joint effort of cleaning up and planting in Masfout.

This initiative represents another significant step forward in our ongoing commitment to environmental conservation and the restoration of our natural heritage, particularly in the preservation of shua trees.

By participating in this endeavor, you have the chance to actively engage in planting the seeds for a greener, more sustainable future while simultaneously honoring and preserving our local heritage. Which area of Impact does it contribute to?

Our goal is bigger than helping nature survive. We are restoring urban and wild spaces to make sure that animals and plants thrive.

This activity supports our objectives to:

• Restore 20,000 m2 of natural habitats (that’s nearly the size of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque complex in Abu Dhabi!)
• Enhancing ecotourism potential of the area through nature trails by creating a positive and sustainable experience for visitors while preserving and promoting the history, biodiversity, and cultural diversity.
• Engaging local communities in decision making through majlises and wider civil society in project implementation and as Citizen Scientists
• Enhancing micro-economies by transformation in farming & eco-tourism to diversify income sources to create resilient communities and preserving traditional farming techniques, knowledge, and products.
