Explore the magic of camera traps and help scientists review new footage of UAE wildlife!
Train as a citizen scientist and spend your Winter Break with purpose!
Through a series of free, expert-led online workshops, you’ll gain new conservation skills and discover the unique biodiversity of the UAE’s Hajar mountains.
Apply your new skills on the ground during an exclusive in-person field trip inside Wadi Wurayah National Park – home to more than 1,100 documented species.
In this workshop, participants will be introduced to the world of citizen science, helping collect data that supports wildlife research. You will review real, never-before-seen images collected from motion-sensing camera traps in the Hajar Mountains. These cameras don’t trap animals — they simply take photos of wildlife that passes by. You will work together to help identify species and get a glimpse into how scientists analyze data.

It was an informative session ' caught on camera' about the different wildlife species found in UAE
I actually enjoyed the event. I wish we had more time to clarify more animals.
