Track Terrestrial Wildlife (with Cameras)

Hike into the mountains to review hidden camera footage of UAE wildlife.

ABOUT THE ACTIVITY

Have you ever wondered how nature photographers capture never seen before footage of rare animals? This is your chance to find out how!

Join this once-in-a-lifetime hike deep into the UAE mountains alongside Emirates Nature-WWF conservationists. You will have the opportunity to help install and check on the technology that we use to monitor terrestrial wildlife – species like birds, bats and animals that live on land

You will:

  • Learn from the experts during your hike – think of it as a private guided tour of UAE’s rich biodiversity.
  • Get up close and personal with technologies like camera traps, nest cams and acoustic monitoring
  • Engage with local communities to raise awareness and reduce exploitation of wild species.
  • Analyse and review rare footage of UAE wildlife.

Keep your eyes open, you may even spot some an elusive bird or animal during your adventure.

This opportunity is exclusive to Leaders of Change. LIMITED SPOTS are available, so register at the earliest!

Amazing Experience have done first time in all my 15 years in UAE, All the Team Members were enjoyed the Tour, Special thanks to Sir Moaz for sharing his life experiences and knowledge with us He climbed all the way like a young boy regardless his age, unfortunately we lost one camera, (Not available in the place where they installed)

For me it was a completely new experience. specially to spot the camera and the process of bringing the animals in front of the camera. The guide explained very well.

Thankful to Emirates Nature Team for giving us this opportunity for tracking wildlife through cameras. This program helps us to understand what kind of wildlife lives in that area and how we can protect endangered species here in UAE. I am also thankful to DEWA for nominating for this Program and contribute my efforts through “Leaders of Change” Program.

This was by all means a fabulous trip and event! I was expecting that it could be very interesting; however, this was beyond my expectations. The place, the nature, the weather, Moaz and his stories and knowledge sharing, all participants, everything just perfect. I could not spend my Saturday better! Thank you for doing this.
