Step into nature and become a citizen scientist—explore, observe, and help document the rich biodiversity of Wadi Abadilah.
Individual scientists can only be in a few places at a time, but hundreds of citizen scientists can help cover much more ground. Grab your camera or phone, and let’s get snapping!
Collecting information about plants, animals, and natural habitats helps us better understand and protect these ecosystems. During this activity, we’ll explore Wadi Abadilah on foot, photographing wildlife and plants as we hike through one of Fujairah’s rich mountain wadis.
Spending time in nature also benefits our well-being. You may find a sense of calm, renewed energy, or a boost in mood—perhaps all three.
This session is open to all Leaders of Change aged 12 years and above.
Participants under the age of 18 may attend upon request and must be accompanied by an adult.
For requests, please contact [email protected] or WhatsApp +971 58 599 7234.
Approximately 3 hours.
With your support, we can collect significantly more biodiversity data than scientists alone. This contributes directly to our national goal of protecting 30% of the UAE’s wild areas by 2030.
This activity also supports our objective to:
Collect 5,000 new research-grade observations of plants and animals across the UAE.
