This session falls under: Biodiversity!
Join us for a hands-on workshop where you'll contribute directly to plant conservation in the UAE!
Participants will collect fresh plant specimens from the surroundings of the Plant Genetic Resource Center in Al Ain, and learn the full herbarium process! From pressing and drying, to mounting and digitizing the samples!
Along the way, you’ll learn how to identify native plant species and understand their importance to local ecosystems.
Your contributions will support the national effort to document, preserve, and better understand the UAE’s native flora, helping to build a valuable resource for scientists, conservationists, and future generations.
This session is available for all active members of the Leaders of Change program.
