Thrilling Escape, Inspiring Mission: My Experience as an Escape Room Support Operator at COP28 As an ardent environmentalist and escape room enthusiast, I couldn't have been more excited to volunteer as an Escape Room Support Operator at the "Escape Climate Change - Mangrove Edition" event during COP28, organised by Emirates Nature-WWF. This wasn't just any escape room; it was an immersive journey into the heart of the climate crisis, with mangroves as our unlikely heroes. Beyond the thrill of the escape itself, the most fulfilling aspect of being a Support Operator was the connections I forged with participants. Each team brought a unique perspective to the challenge, and their enthusiasm for making a difference was truly inspiring. The post-escape discussions were some of the most meaningful I've ever had, filled with ideas, questions, and a shared commitment to taking action. The "Escape Climate Change - Mangrove Edition" was more than just an escape room; it was a transformative experience. It left me with a renewed sense of hope and a deep appreciation for the power of collective action. As an Escape Room Support Operator, I wasn't just facilitating a game; I was playing a part in something much bigger, a movement to protect our planet and build a more sustainable future.
