How to reduce our Fashion Footprint

Fast fashion is responsible for more annual carbon emissions than all international flights & maritime shipping combined. Learn from a local business about how you can reduce your fashion footprint.

Fast fashion makes shopping for clothes more affordable, but it comes at an environmental cost.

The fashion industry is responsible for 10% of humanity’s carbon emissions. 85% of all textiles go to the dump each year. And washing some types of clothes sends thousands of bits of plastic into the ocean.

So how can we as consumers reduce our fashion footprint?

Join us in this exclusive session to get answers to this problem. We will be joined by Gergana Abdulrahman, founder of Wild Fabrik, an

eCo-friendly destination where mindful consumers can connect with sustainable retailers and conscious clothing brands.

Session Overview

  • The difficulty of online marketing
  • The importance of 360 Marketing in the sustainability field (especially when a company is bootstrapping and operating under tight budgets)
  • The consumers in the UAE and how ready they are to consider only sustainable items
  • Greenwashing - what it is, how many companies do it, and some of the ways in which they do it

Why should you join the session?

  • Learn how to become conscious consumers, shop sustainably and impact consumer behaviour
  • Understand Wild Fabrik's sustainable and ethical solutions
  • Understand how a business can meet consumer expectations and maintain bottom lines, all while staying sustainable
  • How we can bridge the gap between green producers and conscious buyers

Interesting discussion around a business that promotes sustainable fashion. Maybe change the title of the conference though as I was expecting more key facts on the fashion industry overall, its impacts on the environment and the key improvement levers.

very interesting interactive discussion. enjoyed it completely.
