Join us for a field research event focused on monitoring tree health and distribution, utilizing scientific tools to contribute to conservation efforts.
Join us for an exciting field research event at Wadi Wurayah National Park, where participants will engage in critical ecological monitoring and data collection. This activity focuses on tree species within the park, aiming to better understand the forest ecosystem and contribute to long-term conservation efforts.
Throughout the event, participants will measure tree abundance, growth, and health, while learning about the various species in relation to the park's diverse habitat characteristics. Using scientific tools and methodologies, you'll help map the trees, tag them for future monitoring, and gather data essential for research and conservation. All necessary tools and instructions will be provided, and participants will leave with a deeper understanding of dendrochronology and ecological fieldwork.
This trip is open to all Leaders of Change members aged 12 and above. Youth under 18 may participate with prior approval from the Emirates Nature-WWF team.
