Pathways of Nature: Building a Trail in Masfout

In collaboration with Emirates Nature-WWF, the Emirates Council for Rural Development, and local communities, we invite you to be part of a distinctive initiative. Our mission is to come together to build trails in Masfout, offering residents and visitors an immersive experience with nature.

By participating in this endeavor, you play a crucial role in enhancing the accessibility of the region's natural wonders while preserving its cultural and historical significance. Building trails is not just about creating paths; it's about fostering a deeper connection between people and the pristine environment. Join us in this meaningful effort to create pathways that connect people to nature and ensure a lasting legacy for future generations.

Which area of Impact does it contribute to?

Our goal is bigger than helping nature survive. We are restoring urban and wild spaces to make sure that animals and plants thrive.

This activity supports our objectives to:

• Restore 20,000 m2 of natural habitats (that’s nearly the size of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque complex in Abu Dhabi!)
• Enhancing ecotourism potential of the area through nature trails by creating a positive and sustainable experience for visitors while preserving and promoting the history, biodiversity, and cultural diversity.
• Engaging local communities in decision making through majlises and wider civil society in project implementation and as Citizen Scientists
• Enhancing micro-economies by transformation in farming & eco-tourism to diversify income sources to create resilient communities and preserving traditional farming techniques, knowledge, and products.

Our focus revolves around planting native flora and organizing community cleanup efforts.
