Campaign Activation - IKEA

In collaboration with IKEA, experience an exclusive in-store activation supporting EN-WWF: Elevate climate change awareness and inspire collective action for a sustainable and safer nation

Raise awareness about Water Scarcity at Ikea

Environmental charity Emirates Nature-WWF and IKEA have joined forces in the Year of Sustainability and COP28 to launch a unique activation that reveals how our daily choices affect the environment. The interactive experience, “A Day in the Life of Climate Change,” sheds light on our impact on water scarcity and climate change, and inspires visitors to contribute both individually and collectively towards a positive impact.

It is designed to engage families, children and IKEA customers in an immersive journey of interactive spaces and touch points. Visitors will discover simple ways to make a positive impact through responsible living, direct donations to Emirates Nature-WWF’s local conservation projects, and hands-on involvement through the Leaders of Change programme.

We are looking for volunteers to help raise awareness about this crucial issue. The main task will be to redirect Ikea visitors to our activation before they check out. Volunteers should have a good understanding of Emirates Nature-WWF's mission to conserve nature and the issue of climate change, and should be comfortable talking about the impact that can be achieved through Leaders of Change.

Please be advised to bring your original Emirates ID for identification purposes to your registered date on the day of the event.

Considering the arrangements made for your potential attendance, we kindly request that you inform us at least 24 hours in advance if, for any reason, you need to cancel your participation. Your prompt communication is crucial for the smooth execution and success of the event. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter

Further information will be shared with volunteers ahead of the activation.

On Sunday morning, I drove from Abu Dhabi to IKEA (Jebel Ali) to extend support to Emirates Nature WWF at their interactive booth about Water scarcity problem. I knew exactly what I will be doing there thanks to a great support from Tamar throughout the preparation and on the day itself. It was a weekend, thus many people shopping at IKEA, as expected I was all the time busy trying to attract IKEA shoppers to go through the experience and encourage them to get curious, get involved and take actions. Although I encountered people who were not interested at all (shame) but yet we received many interested people on that day. It was easy for me to volunteer at IKEA, as I was confident speaking about Emirates Nature, its pillars and all the activities I have done with them for more than a year now, being a Leader of Change. What people appreciated was a personal story shared with them. I encourage all volunteers, do not hesitate to volunteer at IKEA activation, share Your personal story, how you made a lasting impact with ENWWF and motivate others to take actions, by explaining about the company, water scarcity and how they can get involved and donate. Good luck to all, and we all can make a positive impact if we unite our forces.
